I came to Kristine because I wasn't happy with my work situation, I was feeling stuck and underestimated. I felt that I needed a change, a disruption in my work routine, in order to progress with what I really wished for my future career. With Kristine, I had the opportunity to dive into my psyche, uncovering what was holding me back from progressing.

We mostly worked on how I should face the challenges in my work-life, shutting down the "gremlings" in my mind telling me "You can't do that", while embracing a more positive attitude. I learnt that a negative answer doesn't have to be considered as a rejection, but as a learning opportunity, or a misalignment of goals.

A while ago I reached out to Kristine Duyck, more based on luck and coincidence by finding her website on google, to work out a career direction. What I accomplished was beyond expectations.

To explain a bit my background: My career so far was more accidental. I started 25 years ago with a bank apprenticeship. After my first experiences in that sector I decided to study business administration.

After my studies I landed by chance in commodity trading, believing that my career is Finance. After some years I felt a loss of momentum. I was unable to study anymore and was in constant search for the next step.

Despite my biggest efforts I was unable to find what I was looking for.

When I first engaged with Kristine I was not really sure what to expect, but the first impression was good. I had booked 8 sessions over the course of a year. After each session I started to remove the blockers and became more clear on the intrinsic drivers. What Kristine did, so my view, was brilliant psychology at its core. She guided me to find the answers myself. This resulted in clarity of my aspirations, increase in self-confidence and it unlocked my mental capacity again. My revelation: We are who we are, with our values and experiences. Understanding this made me understand in which direction to look and now all comes together naturally.

The career counseling was a small investment, which paid x-fold back. I am not sure I would have been ready earlier in my life to run the career counseling, but I am confident that if I were, it would have benefitted me greatly and saved a lot of time and energy in my search.
